In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Barbara Martin had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Barbara Martin may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Neil Robbins Martin and Jeanette P. Martin; and her sister Alice Lee Martin. She is survived by: her husband Hilton Knight of Wetumpka, AL; and her siblings, Rebecca Harchanko (James) of Huntsville, AL, Lela Melton of Black Mountain, NC, Ruth Curtis (Bert) of Troy, AL and Neil "Rob" Martin (Betty) of Auburn, AL. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Wetumpka First Methodist Church (306 W Tuskeena St, Wetumpka, AL 36092). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to First Methodist Church of Wetumpka, Ivy Creek Hospice, or the John Martin Thornton Memorial Scholarship.
