He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgie Ethel Myers Stephens and Carl Houston Stephens; and his sister Ann Avaritt. He is survived by: his wife Marie Carroll Stephens; his daughter Dinah Deason (Joseph); his grandchildren, Andrea Colburn (Ryan), Jimmie Odom (Kris), Sarah Deason (Damian) and Monica Hollie (Dallas); his great grandchildren, McKenzi Colburn, Katelyn Russell, Wyatt Odom, Emily Odom, JJ Vick, Hunter Colburn, Owen Deason and Oakley Hollie; and his great great grandchild Ryker Colburn.
