She was predeceased by: her parents, Vivian Phillips and Ruben Phillips; her husband Jack Hicks; and her siblings, Betty Goode, Garland Phillips, Bobby Phillips and Terry Phillips.

She is survived by: her daughter Rachel; her son-in-law Scott Taylor of West Blocton; her son Joe Hicks of Birmingham; her grandsons, Luke Taylor and Caleb Taylor of West Blocton; and her brother Ronnie Phillips of Jasper. She is also survived by nephews and nieces and countless friends.

The family request in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the West Blocton Public Library.
