He was predeceased by: his parents, R. T. Darwin and Ruby Devers Darwin; his wife Mary Carolyn McCord Darwin; and his grandchildren, Brandon Franklin, Amber Burns and Tucker Cheyenne Darwin.
He is survived by: his children, Toinette Franklin (David), LeeAnn Wood (Harold Meherg) and Justin Darwin (Kelly); his grandchildren, Cody Franklin (Haley), Lauren Simmons (Chad), Haley Conaway (Jeremy), Dakota Shaw (T. J.), Tyler Oliver, Katie Bowman and Suzanne Franklin; his great grandchildren, Tye Franklin, Sadie Franklin, Kaysten Simmons, Jackson Conaway, Crimson Smith, Wrenley Simmons, Blu Franklin and Drew Nipper; his close friend Retha Perry; and his siblings, Jean, Arthur Lee Darwin (Darnell) and Larry Darwin (Jimmie).
