He was predeceased by: his parents, Hallie Smith and Ola Smith; and his siblings, Gene Smith and Evelyn Rich. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ella Nunnelley Smith; his son Randy Smith (Angel); his granddaughters, Julie Anna Lyons (Gerry) and Kellie Holderfield (Chayse); his great grandchildren, Lorelai Lyons and Wesley Lyons; and his sister Frances Nunnelley. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in honor of his great-grandson Wesley Lyons to Alabama Children's Hospital Foundation 1600 7th Ave. S. Birmingham, AL 35233.
