He is survived by: his wife Syble Benefield of Roanoke; his daughter Glenda Woodham of Roanoke; his stepdaughter Julie Phillips of Lowndesboro, AL; his siblings, Pauline Benefield Jackson of LaGrange, GA, Orene Benefield Crenshaw of Wedowee and Edward Z. Benefield (Bobbie) of Lineville; and his sister-in-law Alyce Benefield of Wedowee. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
