He was predeceased by: his father Theodore Hopson, II. He is survived by: his children, Stephanie Hopson of Carrollton, GA, Heather Thorpe of Anniston, AL, Jordan Hopson of Anniston, Rodrick Lane of Wedowee, Nickolas Thorpe of Carrollton, GA and Demarcus Hopson of Ashland; the mothers of children, Sheila Smith Hopson, Michelle Hopson, Tara Lane and Christina Hill; his brothers, John A. Hopson (Saskia), Michael E. Hopson (Andrea), Richard Eric Hopson (Amy), Robert V. Hopson (Sheretta), Herschel Walker and Derrick Herring (Cenessa); and his close friend Grace Bennett. He is also survived by nine grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Benefield Funeral Home (17624 US-431, Wedowee, AL 36278). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Benefield Funeral Chapel (17624 US-431, Wedowee, AL 36278).
