He was predeceased by: his cousin Jimmy Willingham; and his close friend Sandra Green. He is survived by: his children, Kimber Jean Hester of Cave Springs, GA and Sammy Lee Hester of Atlanta, GA; and his grandchildren, Zoey Hester and Gavin Hester.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Rock Mills Baptist Church or to the American Cancer Society at P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
