She was predeceased by: her parents, W. C. Harvel and Myrtis Dodson Harvel; her husband Carl Nelson, Jr.; and her siblings, Bob Harvel and Reba Rampy.
She is survived by: her children, Judy Graham (Terry) of Wedowee and Barry Nelson of Wedowee; her granddaughter Brooke Bayliss (Scott) of Wedowee; her brother Bill Harvel (Judy) of Roanoke; and her sister-in-law Evelyn Harvel of Alex City. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
