He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Wright and Ida Kimble Wright; his wife Bernice Harris Wright; his son John Wright Jr.; his siblings, Otis Wright, Sylvester Wright, Fannie Mae Knight, Beatrice Harris, Eva Glenn, Robert B. Wright and Cassie Hicks; and his son-in-law Alton Sullinger.
He is survived by: his children, Sharon Sullinger of Wedowee, Tim Wright (Lisa) of Franklin, GA, Keith Wright of Wedowee and Kevin Wright (Loretta) of Wedowee. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
