She was predeceased by: her parents, Shellie Thompson and Verna Thompson; her former husband James Alva Greene; her daughter Susan Renee Greene; and her siblings, Betty Jameson, Loyce Thompson and Joe Thompson.
She is survived by: her husband Ralph C. Haynes; her sons, Randy Greene (Leanne), Mike Greene and Barry Greene; her granddaughters, Tonya Greene and Abbey Greene; her stepchildren, Jordy Haynes (Judy), Brad Haynes, Kathy Henderson and Deborah Lee (Kenny); her siblings, Maxie Thompson (Sammy Thompson), Shirley McManus and Carol Gilreath; her cousin Cynthia Hurley; and her friend Sue Benefield. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Benefield Funeral Home (17624 US-431, Wedowee, AL 36278). The lying in state was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Midway Community Church (14093 US-431, Wedowee, AL 36278). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
