She was predeceased by: her parents, Mark O. Smith and Dovie Beck Smith; her husbands, Herbert McManus, Harvard McManus and Dewey Shelnutt; and her stepson Larry Shelnutt.
She is survived by: her sons, Darrell McManus (Belinda) of Wedowee, Kenneth McManus (Janet) of Woodland and Joseph McManus (April) of Ragland; her grandchildren, Wendy Yarbrough (Joel), Nicole Ferrebee (Rob), Mandy Chambers (Roger), Haley McManus (Kasey), Taylor Grooms (Dusty), Chase Gallegly (Sara) and Britteny Broome; her sisters, Sarah Cantrell of Woodland and Gertrude Lane of Bynum; her stepchildren, Cathy Davis of Roanoke, Janie McManus of Bowdon and Mike Shelnutt of Griffin, GA; her close friend Kenneth Wiggins; and her caregiver Dr. Sheila Haynes. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
