She was predeceased by: her husband Billy Mitchell; and her sisters, Louise Cavender and Theresa McCain. She is survived by: her sons, Alan (Katrina) and Chris (Donna); her grandchildren, Carli Briscoe, Jessica Gaines, Jeff Mitchell and Ryan Mitchell; her great grandchildren, Gracie, Lily, Joshua, Addison, Amelia Mitchell, Everly Gaines, Nicholas, Oaklyn and Eliyanah Briscoe; and her parents, Alfred Meek and Ina Mae Vowell Huey.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Benefield Funeral Home (17624 US-431, Wedowee, AL 36278). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Jordan Chapel Congregational Methodist Church (1592 Co Rd 47, Woodland, AL 36280).
