He was predeceased by: his parents, Sanford Wilson and Ossie Brown Wilson; and his brother George Wilson. He is survived by: his children, Johnny Wilson (Angel), Van Wilson Jr. (Simone), Ashley Wilson (Kathy), Linda Rachelle Marshall and April Lea Wilson; and his sister Shirley Moulton. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
