With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lavaughn Joseph Barley of Webb, Alabama, who passed away on April 28, 2023 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, J. V. Barley and Frances Chappell Davis Barley; and his brothers, Terrell Wayne Barley and Arthur Glen Barley. He is survived by: his wife Doris Simmons Barley; his sisters, Nina Barley Scott of Dothan and Jean Barley McLean of Dothan; and his sister-in-law Sylvia Simmons Alford (Joel K. Alford) of Athens, AL. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Webb Baptist Church, P.O. Box 70, Webb, AL 36376.
