With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ethel McGilvray Deese of Webb, Alabama, who passed away on April 21, 2022 at the age of 103. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alpheus McGilvray and Mae Maddox McGilvray; her husband Lowell Deese; her sisters, Esther Gamble and Opal Suddath; and her grandson-in-law Bruce Jernigan.
She is survived by: her daughters, Mamie Dickerson, Glenn and Webb; her extended family Janie Lane (Ken); her grandchildren, Ivy Jernigan, Kevin Dickerson (Fiance' Amanda), Nikki Swann (Matt), Clay Lane (Lenzie) and Maegan Standley (Alan); and her great grandchildren, William Lonsdale, Will Swann, Reid Swann, Knox Lane, Stella Lane, Madelyn Standley, Nora Mae Standley and Asher Standley.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alabama Baptist Children's Home, 325 Ross Clark Circle, Dothan, AL 36303.
