He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Edward Tew and Percy Cordelia Tyler Tew; his wife Beverly Ann Hurst Tew; and his sister Cathryn Dykes. He is survived by: his daughters, Donna Simon (Danny) and Kathleen Deanna Barber; his stepson Brad Cooley; his siblings, Judy Watson (Roger), Jan Allen (Craig), Eric Tew (Caitlin) and Jere Tew; his brother-in-law Robert Dykes; and his grandchildren, Michael Ward (Mary), Emerald Dunnam (Justin), Ashley Woodham (Jeremy), Hollis Cooley (Ashley) and Mason Cooley (Audra).
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Springhill Baptist Church Cemetery (64 County Rd 3350, Troy, AL 36081). A graveside service was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
