He was predeceased by: his parents, George Carr Mizell and Winifred Hill Mizell; and his siblings, Danny Mizell and Maureen Johnson. He is survived by: his children, Eleanor Mizell, Melissa Mizell and Phillip Mizell; and his siblings, Bill Mizell, Julie of Niceville, FL, Jim Mizell of Meridian, KS, Brenda Godby, Lewis of Donalsonville, GA and Phillip Mizell of Smiths Station, AL. He is also survived by two grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
