It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rosalind Gail Evans Thompson of Weaver, Alabama, who passed away on August 7, 2020, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Newman P. Evans and Elizabeth Glenn Evans; her daughter Elaine Smith; her daughter-in-law Cindy Thompson; her husband Roy Thompson of Weaver; her son Brandt Thompson of Wellington; her grandchildren, Shane Smith of Talladega County, AL, Kyle Smith (Keisha) of Tennessee, Abby Skinner (Jonathan) of Jacksonville and Claire Matthews (Cody) of Wellington; her great grandchildren, Taylor Smith of Foley, Kyleigh Smith of Birmingham, Kayleigh Smith of Tennessee, Grady Matthews of Wellington, Carter Smith of Tennessee and Ellie Matthews of Wellington; and her sisters, Barbara Evans of Anniston and Alice Honeycut (Charlie) of Anniston. She was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to a local animal shelter in Mrs. Thompson's name, or to Grace Fellowship, 860 Summerall Gate Road, Anniston, AL 36205.
