She was predeceased by: her husband Bobby Ray Hurst of Weaver; her parents, Elbert Wade Sides, Sr. and Connie Melissa Clark Sides of Weaver; her siblings, Henry Clark Sides of Weaver and Mary Frances Sides Baker of Weaver; her brother-in-law Bobby Baker, Sr of Weaver; her nephew Brian Sides of Weaver; her niece Kristie Hurst Dempsey of Section; and her sister-in-law Joan James Sides of Weaver.

She is survived by: her daughter Lasonia Lynn Hurst Newton (David) of Weaver; her grandchildren, Kyle Wayne Newton (Kameron) of Anniston and Aimee Nichole Hopkins Crunkilton (David) of Wetumpka; her great grandchild Aiden Bryce Crunkilton of Wetumpka; and her siblings, Terri Darlene Sides Shurbutt of Alexandria, Kathy Bonds (Loys) of Richmond, Kentucky, Elbert Wade Sides, Jr. (Carol) of Weaver and Bobby Wayne Sides of Weaver. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles, and in-laws.
