He was predeceased by: his son James Frederick Schuler; his parents, Frederick Schuler and Rosina Schuler; and his brothers, Alfred Schuler, Emmanuel Schuler, Henry Schuler, Calvin Schuler and Alvin Schuler.
He is survived by: his wife Jeanyne Schuler; his children, Mary Ann McElory (Garry), Judith Gail Perry (Ronald), Tracy Jean Vanzile (Scott) and Robert James Schuler; his grandchildren, Shane Alexander Haynes (Kristy), James Ryan Haynes (Lauren), Tiffany Vanzile (Brandon), Beth Schuler (Josh), Haven Schuler (Michael), Jay Todd McElory (Lara) and Thomas Kiker (Sylvia); and his great grandchildren, Zachary Haynes, Kylie Haynes, Camryn McElory, Jay Todd McElory II, Abigail Grace Haynes, Cambron Hart, Lydia Kiker and Colton Kiker. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
