She was predeceased by: her husband Liamatua F. Fa'asamala; her parent Tulai Ponafala; and her siblings, Sigaoi Ponafala (Anna), Sina Ponafala, Fasifaalua Ponafala, Ta'alogaovaiula Ponafala and Faoa Ponafala.

She is survived by: her son Samuel Fa'asamala (Alyssa); her granddaughters, Kanoelani Fa'asamala and Laneia Fa'asamala; and her sisters, Lemao Suemai and Lagisolia Jones. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
