He was predeceased by: his parents, Jasper Ghrigsby and Geneva Ghrigsby. He is survived by: his wife Lillian Marie Ghrigsby; his children, Michael Wayne Ghrigsby and Tina Marie Hill; his sisters, Rose Green and Katherine Montgomery; and his grandchildren, Jessica Ghrigsby, Jason Glaze and Kristie Ghrigsby. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
