She was predeceased by: her parents, J. B. Hicks and Mary Etta Pate Hicks; her husband Michael T. O'Brien; her son Douglas O'Brien; her granddaughter Nikkole O'Brien; and her siblings, Dale Hamacher and Francine Hicks.
She is survived by: her children, David Scott O'Brien, Kirk Thomas O'Brien and Margaret Ann Braun (Todd); her brother Elton "George" Hicks; her daughter-in-law Teresa O'Brien; and her grandchildren, Anthony, Sean, Briana, Kaila, Jared, Callie, Mikala, McKenna, Christian, Michael and Lillian. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 24th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Gardendale Heritage Funeral Home (2214 Decatur Hwy, Gardendale, AL 35071). A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
