With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Kitty T Kirkland of Warrior, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 31, 2024 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Willie Floyd Kirkland; her parents, James R. Thompson and Janette S. Thompson; and her children, Howard Riley Kirkland and Margaret K. Stewart (Steve).
She is survived by: her children, Cathryn Herren (Steve), Walter Kirkland (Cindy) and James Kirkland; her grandchildren, Daniel, Stephanie Herren, Brett (Leanne), Brittany Kirkland, Steven Stewart and Jennie S. Larkin (Frank); and her great grandchildren, Madison, Conner, Laina, Olivia and Annakate.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Ridout's Gardendale Chapel (2029 Decatur Hwy, Gardendale, AL 35071). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Magnolia Chapel.
