He was predeceased by: his parents, Jimmy Brooks and Eulala Kilgore Brooks. He is survived by: his wife Kelly Brooks; his children, Shelbie Panter, Cody Brooks (Jewel) and Courtney Brooks; his grandchildren, Gibson, Wrenly, Kohanim, Natalie, Grayson, Fisher and Cash; his brothers, Michael Northington (Beverley) and Scott Northington (Kelly); and his close friends, Babygirl, David Tucker and Tony Baker.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Messmer Goodwin Funeral Home (225 Dana Rd, Warrior, AL 35180). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
