He is survived by: his wife Betty Burns; his children, Karen Simmons (Terry) and Chris Burns, Jr. (Gail); his grandchildren, Jennifer Hills, Jody Simmons, Christopher Burns, III, Justin Burns and Matthew Burns; and his brother Charles Burns. He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren.
