She was predeceased by: her husband Marshall Loyd Doss; her parents, Samuel Pete and Lucille Harp McLendon; and her siblings, Mary McLendon Mason, Samuel Pete McLendon, Jr., Sarah Mason Wesley, Betty McLendon Tisdale, Jean McLendon Robinson, Idelle McLendon Floyd, Paul McLendon, Frank McLendon and Seldon Robert McLendon.

She is survived by: her children, Phillip M. Doss and Paula Segan (John); her granddaughter Sarah Hyland; her sister Peggy Franklin (Carole Olive Popee); and her niece Jennifer Tisdale Phillips.
