He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Harris "Dick" Rew, Jr. and Eunice Knight Rew; and his siblings, John Harold, David, Levern, James, Edward Rew and Martha Rew Drinkard.
He is survived by: his wife Jean Slay Rew of Ward; his children, Howard Murry Rew (Judy) of Athens, AL and Sheila Rosemary Rew (Richard Watkins) of Ward; his grandchildren, Allison Breland Crotwell (Alan) of Vestavia Hills, Richard Lavoy Breland of Ward and Sarah June Rew; his great grandchildren, William Harrison Crotwell and Griffin Rew Crotwell; and his sister-in-law June Slay Stephenson of Ward. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other family and friends.
