It is with great sadness that we announce the death of June Slay Stephenson of Ward, Alabama, born in Buckatunna, Mississippi, who passed away on September 22, 2020, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Slay and Annie Rose Carleton Slay; her former husband Tom West; her husband Bob Stephenson; and her sisters, Nelda Rose Slay and Mary Slay Brewer.
She is survived by: her sister Jean Rew of Ward, AL; her nieces and nephews, Rosemary Rew of Ward, AL, Jennifer Holman, Mary Ellen Wood, Howard Rew of Athens, AL, Fritz Brewer and Dan Brewer; and also Stephenson. She is also survived by son step children; numerous step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren.
