It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janie Hearn Alford (Ward, Alabama), born in Bellamy, Alabama, who passed away on August 1, 2019, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Steward Tucker and Melba "Sugar" Tucker; and her husband Curley Alford. She is survived by: her granddaughter Dr. Bliss Wright; her daughters, Jane Glass (Bill) of Linden and Cindy Cook (Bruce) of Whitfield; her granddaughters, Cook Wedgworth (Evan) and Dr. Bliss Cook Wright (Miller); her great grandchild Louis Tucker Wedgworth; and her siblings, Billy Tucker of Ward and Beatrice Pearson of Tuscaloosa.
