He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodrow Melcher and Erlene Melcher (Atkins); and his brother William 'Bill Melcher. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Jean Melcher (Goble); his children, Wayne Melcher (TI), Rhonda Wolff, MaLisa LeSueur (Jack), Kelly Mitchell, Denise Tolbert and David Mitchell (Alicia); his grandchildren, Johnny Wayne Melcher (Kristin), Anna Wolff, Landon Wolff, Elizabeth Barnett, Eli Barnett, Kaydie LeSueur, Crystal Shirley (Sean), Nicholas Tolbert, Mike Maddox, Danny Maddox and Charlie Maddox; and his sister-in-law Lena Melcher. He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren; 3 great – great grandchildren.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Snead Funeral Home to help the Melcher's with the funeral expenses of both their parents (a Preneed account has been set up for Mrs. Melcher at Snead Funeral Home for any excess funds).
