She was predeceased by: her parents, Authur C Yates and Ettie Yates; her former husband Henry Pettis; her husband Bill Smith; her children, Mary Ann Morgan and Henry Pettis Jr.; and her siblings, Abra, Albert, Edward, Cloyse, Clayton, Willis Yates, Edna Fincher, Ethel Schwalenberg and Lavida Childs.
She is survived by: her daughters, Carolyn Erskin of Talladega, Martha Bradford (Dale) of Ashland, Linda Hickman (Robert) of Talladega and Maudine Barker of Talladega; her grandchildren, Kenneth Rush, Kristina Rush, Kerri Bradford, Kevin Bradford, Adam Hartley, Tony Hickman, Mandy Isbell, Sandy West and Stephanie Griffin; her sister-in-law Nancy Yates; and her grandsons, Brian Bradford, Lee Brand and Trent Bradford. She is also survived by 27 greatgrandchildren; 4 Great Great Grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews.
