He was predeceased by: his stepmother Ruby Ray. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Knight Ray of Wadley; his children, Robin Ray of Roanoke, Lorie Pendergrass (Todd) of Houston, TX, Shane Ray (Caity) of Alabaster, AL, Joshua Ray (Amy) of Nashville, TN and Jason Caldwell of Wadley; and his brothers, Danny Ray (Pat) of Roanoke and James Knight (Susan) of Lawrenceville, GA.. He is also survived by ten grandchildren.
