He is survived by: his wife Danette Carson of Wadley; his son Orrin Carson of Wadley; and his siblings, Marcia Houze of Wadley, Nancy Cofield of Roanoke, John Carson (Wanda) of Wadley and Tommy Carson of Wadley. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Benefield Funeral Home to go toward final expenses.
