He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Franklin Speer and Gerda Dann Speer; and his brother Kenneth Speer. He is survived by: his wife Judy Speer; his children, T. J. Speer (Priscilla) and Leigh Ann Busby Lori (Jason); his siblings, Barry McCown (Teresa) and Joy Ann England (Calvin); and his grandchildren, Brody Speer, Travis Speer, Jase Busby, Jaleigh Busby, Banks Busby, Bradley Boger and Maltie Boger.
