With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Sonya Rutherford of Vinemont, Alabama, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her father Jerry Appleton (Peggy Blaxton Appleton); her sons, Holden Rutherford and Zachery Rutherford; her father-in-law Timothy Rutherford; and her grandfather Hesley Blaxton.
She is survived by: her husband Chris Rutherford; her mother Peggy Appleton; her daughter Zoey McMahon; her pets, Socket, Buddy and Little Bit; her sister Chasitie "Chasie" Appleton (Matt Pierce); her mother-in-law Carol Burns; her niece Jessica Rutherford; and her nephews, Clay and Cody Wilson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Frist Priority of Decatur or Gideons International in Sonya's honor.
