With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Olen A. Nelson (Vinemont, Alabama), who passed away on January 28, 2022 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his son Kenneth Olen Nelson; and his siblings, Etheridge Nelson, Curtis Nelson and Jean Turner. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Ann Ryan Nelson; and his siblings, James E. Nelson, Martin Nelson of Eva, Bill Nelson of Cullman, Brownie Nelson of Athens, Evonne Haney of Houston, TX, Doris Boughman of Gaithersburg, MD and Mary Jane Hatfield of Hartselle. He is also survived by 22 nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Huntsville Hospital Foundation or the Huntsville Humane Society.
