She was predeceased by: her parents, William Sharpton and Venus Wood Sharpton (James Burks, Jr.); her son Michael Burks; her daughter-in-law Bev Burks; and her brothers, Bill Sharpton and Al Sharpton.
She is survived by: her children, Lisa Reeder, Anita Ballew (Mark), Dorothy Stroud (Mike), Bill Burks, Anthony Taylor and Judy Aaron; her grandchildren, Zachery Tanner, Mark Tanner (Jessica), Brittney Doth (Matt), Brianna Burks, Tyler Ballew (Ashley), Brandi Burks and Jessica Dubose; her sister Ruth Warren (Bill); and her pet Bandit. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
