She is survived by: her daughter Ruth Nicklaus; her grandchildren, Kevin Higdon, Tanya Allcorn (Jason), Jason Nicklaus and Amy Hancock (Heath); her great grandchildren, Roman, Allie Higdon, Anna Kate, John Luke Allcorn, Nolan and Nora Hancock; and her sister-in-law Okalene Ransom.
