We are sad to announce that on April 8, 2019, at the age of 96, John Thomas Oakes (Vinemont, Alabama) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Oakes and Hannah Linde Oakes; and his siblings, William, James, Frank and Pat Fink.
He is survived by: his wife Anne Fisher Oakes; his stepdaughters, Margaret Lloyd (Gary), Christine Fisher Vest (Troy), Patricia Anne Furno (David) and Lori Anne Fisher; his brothers, Joe Oakes (Sylvia) and Richard Oakes (Ernestine); and his sister-in-law Joan Oakes. He is also survived by ten step grandchildren; numerous step great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
