He was predeceased by: his parents, Talmadge "Buck" Hudson and Thelma Freeman Hudson; his grandchildren, Austin Gage Burgess and Brooklyn Michelle Walker; his son-in-law Tyler Wesley Walker; and his nephew James Dale Young "Jimmy".

He is survived by: his daughters, Michelle Hudson Walker and Elizabeth Hudson Yarbrough (Wayne); his siblings, Tammy Hudson Brown (Frankie), Brenda Hudson Williamson and Wayne Hudson (Ellan); and his grandchildren, Alyssa Burgess, Peyton Burgess, Elijah Burgess, Easton Tyler Walker and Skylyn Kaye Walker. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
