He was predeceased by: his parents, James Rowell and Mamie Rowell; and his brothers, Orey Rowell, Calvin Rowell and Gary Rowell.
He is survived by: his children, Charles Kenneth Rowell Jr. and Sonya Brown; and his siblings, Melvin Rowell, Dorothy Gibson, Linda Cirlot and Rita Leisure. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
