He was predeceased by: his parents, Walker Louis Bentley and Lillian Sellers Bentley; and his wife Diane Ogletree Bentley. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Richey Bentley; his children, Denise Bentley Gurganus (Dee) and James Christian Bentley (Chris); his grandchildren, Michael Joseph Romano, Jr., James Christian Bentley, Jr., Victoria Brooke Bentley and Brayden Diane Bentley; his stepchildren, Donna Cooper and Shelly Fomby; and his stepgrandchildren, Bradi (Michael), Christian McSweeny, Raliegh (Tyler), Lawson Boyanton, Kodi, Blaine Eads, Jordan Ray and Peyton Walker.
