He is survived by: his brother Wade Snipes of Virginia Beach; his daughters, Betsy Snipes of Beaverdam and Lila Slappey; and his grandchildren, Kristina Raney, Meredith Slappey Halcomb (Kevin), Adrienne Slappey Moore (Bill) and Carter Slappey, Jr (Brittany). He is also survived by 6 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
