He was predeceased by: his parents, William Hutcheson and Eura Hutcheson; and his brother Dale Hutcheson. He is survived by: his wife Nancy R. Hutcheson; his children, Natalie Harris (John), Eric Nelson Hutcheson (Michelle), Jeff Cochran (Jamie) and Kimberly Garner; his grandchildren, Jordan Hutcheson, Anna William Cochran, Hollis Cochran, Culley Cochran, Dyllan Garner and Dustin Garner; and his great grandchild Michael Keith Garner.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to 7th Street Baptist Church in Bessemer, AL.
