He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Ingram Friese and Gladys Todd Friese of Vestavia Hills; his brother Bobby Friese; and his parents-in-law, Joseph Slovensky and Helen Majerik Slovensky of Brookside, Alabama..
He is survived by: his wife Alice Slovensky Friese; his children, William "Bill" Friese Jr. and Robyn Christina McArdle (Travis); his grandchildren, Michael Joseph McArdle, Joseph Henly McArdle and Allison Marie McArdle; and his brother Mike Friese (Faye).
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of William may be made to Saint Patrick's Catholic Church, 301 Shamrock Trail, Adamsville, AL 35005.
