Vita D'Amico Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Vita D'Amico of Vestavia Hills, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 16, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Ross and Frances Ross; and her brother Anthony Paul Ross. She is survived by: her husband Frank P. D'Amico Jr.; her children, Frank D'Amico III (Melinda), Angela Melazzo (Frank) and Fran Spina (Paul); her grandchildren, Christopher D'Amico (Meredith), Michael D'Amico, Trey Melazzo, David D'Amico (Ally), Stephanie Spina, Paul Joseph Spina IV (Hope) and Ross Spina; and her great grandchildren, Mary Rose, Anna Lacey D'Amico and David Asher D'Amico.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church (1728 Oxmoor Rd, Homewood, AL 35209). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 1728 Oxmoor Road, 35209, St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, 2061 Patton Chapel Road, 35226, or Our Lady of the Angels Monastery, 3222 County Road 548, Hanceville, AL 35077.
