He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Seph Blackburn and Dena Fowler Blackburn; and his brother Ferrell Blackburn. He is survived by: his wife Linda Blackburn; his children, Leigh Wright (Shawn), Jill Horton (Mike), Christy Hodge (Russell) and Rob Blackburn; his grandchildren, Aidan Wright, Ethan Wright, Kelsey Horton, Sophie Horton, Caroline Hodge, Alice Hodge and Zuri Blackburn; and his siblings, Carolyn Odom and Max Blackburn (Lydia). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Dawson Memorial Baptist Church (1114 Oxmoor Rd, Birmingham, AL 35209). A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
