He was predeceased by: his parents, Noel Baker and Sybil Baker; and his sons-in-law, Steve Toon and Chris Morgan. He is survived by: his wife Lauretta; his children, David Baker (Danielle), Cheryl Baker Toon and Denise Baker Mullaney (John); his grandchildren, Mary Beth Baker, Stuart Baker (Katie), Blake Toon, Lexy Toon, Leah Toon, Maggie Mullaney and Lucie Mullaney; and his brothers, Wayne Baker (Barbara) and Dan Baker (Lisa).
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Dawson Memorial Baptist Church (1114 Oxmoor Rd, Birmingham, AL 35209). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Dawson Memorial Baptist Church, The Chris Morgan Graduate Scholarship at Samford University School of Business, The Steve Toon Endowed Scholarship in Journalism at Baylor University, or your favorite charity.
